Pensees Singapore at SIT Career Nexus 2023 (CN2023)

Updated: Feb 7, 2023

Career Nexus 2023 (CN2023) was held during 12pm - 5pm @ Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Roselle-Simpor Ballroom, Level 4. It is Singapore Institute of Technology’s annual career networking event organized by the Centre for Career Readiness. It allows participants to expand their network for potential careers and opportunities for collaboration via research and projects. It serves as a platform for undergraduates and industry partners to interact, and for these employers to hire the right talent.

In summary, Career Nexus is a recruitment fair for students from SIT to find internship opportunities or even possibly embark on full time jobs. Most of the participating students were year 2 and year 3 students.

Students who approached Pensees’ booth were generally from computer studies such as computer engineering, computer science in real-time interactive simulation or other relevant fields such as electronics and data engineering, information and communications technology or systems engineering. They were very interested in the AI Scientist intern positions covering cutting edge technology and software development. As most of the showcasing companies belong to various industries, being an AI company, Pensees stood out and had good reception from many students, as there were not many AI companies who were advertising at the fair. The team from Pensees explained to them in more detail about the job scope, interview process and encouraged them to visit their website to find out more about the company. SIT also provided assistance such as helping them with the setting up of an online booth and the advertising of current internship positions. SIT Staff also visited during the event to check in on Pensees, and talk to them.

From SIT:

"Dear Industry Partners,

Your participation in SIT Career Nexus 2023 was another significant milestone in our partnership!

We hope that the event was a fruitful one that has given you a glimpse of the calibre of our SIT SITizens, and the confidence to offer them Integrated work Study Programme (IWSP) or full-time positions in your organisation!

Your continuous support has made it possible for our undergraduates and graduating students to have a strong start to a successful career."

Pensees Singapore would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to SIT for giving them the opportunity to participate in the event!
